Email GarageIQ supportOpen the Service tab and enter your year, make, model and engine, then tap Save. Your vehicle appears at the top of the app and tailors the how-to searches on the SOS tab to your exact car.
On the Oil tab, tap Log fill-up each time you get gas — every second one, GarageIQ reminds you to check the dipstick. When you add oil, log the date, odometer, and quarts. After two entries the chart shows your miles-per-quart trend, and a red banner appears if consumption crosses a level worth a mechanic's look.
Enter your current odometer on the Service tab. The "Due next" list then tracks oil changes, tire rotations, filters, and battery age. Record each service you do so the countdowns stay accurate.
On the Service tab, tap a reminder button (for example "Check oil in 2 weeks"). GarageIQ asks permission to send notifications, then schedules a local alert on your phone. You can change notification permission any time in iOS Settings.
Open Decode → Dash lights and search the light you see. Each entry tells you red vs. amber urgency and exactly what to do now.
Get a code from any $20 Bluetooth OBD-II reader, then type it into Decode → OBD codes for a plain-English cause. Most auto-parts stores also read codes for free.
The Seasons tab highlights the current season and remembers what you've checked off. Switch tabs to plan ahead for another season.
The SOS tab has a step-by-step breakdown playbook, jump-start instructions, and an emergency card you can fill in with your policy numbers and roadside contacts — all stored on your phone.
